I'll be honest—despite my Stanford degree, UC Berkeley MPH, and 20 years in women's health, I was completely unprepared when perimenopause hit me like a freight train in my early 40s.

Brain fog so thick I couldn't think straight, anxiety that felt like my chest was constantly tight, and sleepless nights wondering if I'd ever feel like myself again.
As someone running my own business, I watched helplessly as both my health and work began falling apart. The terror was real—what if this was my new normal?

I made incremental changes in how I ate, moved, and managed stress. I eliminated inflammatory foods and added ones that supported my changing hormones. Movement became gentle and nurturing. I prioritized sleep like my life depended on it—because it did.
The transformation was profound. My sleep scores climbed above 90. Energy returned steadily. The crushing brain fog lifted, anxiety melted away, and my moods stabilized. I felt calm and clear-headed again. And best of all, my self-confidence returned!
Last fall, I biked the grueling nine-hour Whole Enchilada trail in Moab—not to prove anything, but because I could. Because I felt like myself again.
